Room is spacious and clean, plenty of amenities around. I was quite unfortunate because my room door was faulty and I was stuck outside my room for around 40mins, however, Amandra, Guest History Manager, was helpful to expedite the issue. I was given another room as a resting room while they help to solve the issue on the door. Upon departure, the Assistant Front Office Manager met up with me to extend her apologies, which I appreciate it. All in all, the staff here are helpful and amazing. Thanks to the team for the lovely stay!

Hotel was beautiful and lots to do if you have kids. I had some work in Penang and took my kids along. Requested for an early check in as I was rushing for my appointment. Staff made us feel welcome and kids could play board games at the kids area while waiting for our room. Shout out to Ms.Cecilia, she was so welcoming and made us feel at home. Excellent service from her 👍👍👍 from the time we arrived till we check out. Also wanna thank staff Umairah and Devi who helped me when we decided to extend our stay. Food was good, rooms clean and hotel also very clean. We ordered slushies while kids were swimming but it was tooo sweet. Hope they cut down on the extra sugar there. Alot of games and kids adventure park was fun. Beach nothing much but lots to do at the hotel. Overall good hotel and highly recommended for family stay. Will surely plan another trip :)

Slightly disappointing stay after a stay nearby at the Park Royal. The rooms are ok but a little dated. Although generally clean, our curtains were filthy and stained with what looked like blood, but they were immediately changed when I mentioned it. The pool areas are ok, there are lots of sunbeds but very few of them have umbrellas. The pool bar plays music which can be blaring at times which is quite intrusive. There is a mosque at the front of the hotel which would be very annoying during the call to prayer for guests staying at the front. Breakfast is good. Overall its ok, but the rooms, communal areas, gardens and breakfast are much better at the Park Royal.

We've been here many times! Shangri-La Group of Hotels has been our 1st choice whenever we go anywhere :) Let me tell you why: First, the people working in Shangri-La. Whether its in KL or Penang or Chiangmai, Traders or Jen .... the service, hospitality from the people are always Number 1! Our check-in are smooth, in fact we reached earlier than expected, about 1.30pm, we want to check-in so badly after started our journey from KL at 4.30am. We managed to checked-in early, the process was smooth and great service from Annette. As usual, the room was clean, everything was perfect as always :) Our room is a Executive Seaview room (with a Murphy bed), facing the pool and the beach. It's a peak season (Eidfitri holidays), so the hotel are full. For breakfast, many options and varieties. One will never go hungry if staying in Shangri-La hotel. Excellent service and hospitality from the staff @Garden Cafe (my review about Garden Cafe next). Basically, everything was perfect, excellent and my sons enjoyed it so much at the pool. Checked-out was also smooth, assisted by Ayu. We can never have any complains whenever we stayed in Shangri-La hotels. Keep up the good work. We shall see you again in our next Penang trip!

Returned to the Hotel in February 2024 for a buffet dinner! Special thanks to Jia Jun for sharing the promotional materials and making our reservation for a bigger group. Not forgetting to mention that Chef Hazarul in action cooked a good seafood platter for us. Kudos to the Garden Cafe team for serving us well. Will definitely visit the Hotel again in the future
